Storage Your Possum Pam fur item may have been tightly packaged on its journey home. We recommend giving it a good shake to release the fibres and get it looking fabulous again. If you wish to store it at any time make sure it is in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. We do not recommend packaging possum fur in plastic bags or containers for an extended period of time as condensation may occur in warm conditions.
Cleaning For smaller items, gentle machine wash or hand wash in warm water using a mild detergent. Spin to remove excess water. Dry possum fur products flat and in shape away from direct sunlight and artificial heat. DO NOT tumble dry. Take care not to place possum fur on a radiator, steam pipe or in front of a fan heater as this may damage the fibres. DO NOT iron or bleach. If item contains leather or other non washable materials please follow dry cleaning instructions.
Dry Cleaning For larger items and items that are made from dyed possum fur we recommend using a drycleaner specialised in natural fur dry-cleaning.
Brushing After cleaning , possum fur may appear scruffy. A light brush with either a comb or hairbrush will help restore the fibres original appearance.
Luxurious Comfort Possum fur is a hollow fibre fur which has millions of air pockets to capture warmth and is incredibly light weight, making your bedding much more warm and comfortable to sleep in. Possum fur has superior insulation properties which keeps body heat in and cold air out. It is one of the least flammable textiles in common use. Possum fur is naturally non-allergenic and biodegradable. It requires no factory or chemicals to produce it and is a self-replenishing natural product. Possum fur is a highly durable natural fibre and, if properly cared for, will last a lifetime.
